NEST Result 2020 – NEST 2020 Cut off Marks

The NISER Officials will announce two types of NEST Cut Off Marks 2020 i.e Section-wise and Total Cut off. The NEST Cut Off 2020 will be available here after the declaration of NEST Result 2020. All the exam participants must score minimum cut off marks to be eligible for NISER Admissions. In NEST 2020 examination, there would be a general section of 30 marks and 4 subject sections of 50 marks each.

Candidates can answer ‘as many’ from the subject sections. It is mandatory to get minimum marks in the general section. The NEST Cut off 2020 will be in two parts i.e Section wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS) and Total Minimum Admissible Score (MAS). If a student does not score SMAS in the general section and in at least three subject sections, then he/she would not allot any merit rank and not eligible for admission.

NEST Merit List 2020 – Tie Break

The NEST 2020 Merit List determined by considering the NEST Result 2020 i.e scores obtained in the general section and top 3-sections from the topics (Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry). The NEST Counselling 2020 organized by NISER & UM-DAE CEBS separately for admission to the 5 years integrated M.Sc course. Candidates shortlisted through the NEST Merit list 2020 are eligible to appear in the NEST 2020 Counselling procedure. The NEST Counselling 2020 will be in the offline mode.
