Indian Institute of Science KVPY Nov 2020 Exam
The Authority of IISc Bangalore conducts a national level fellowship programme named Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. The KVPY Selection Procedure has TWO Rounds i.e. Aptitude Test and Interview. To avail the benifits of this fellowship programme, the aspirants need to Qualify both the rounds of KVPY selection process. Candidates enrolled in class XI, Class XII and in the first year of an undergraduate program in science will come under SA, SX and SB Streams respectively. The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana fellowship award given on the basis of combined performance in the KVPY Aptitude Test and Interview.
The KVPY fellowship of the students will be applied only if they join an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences such as B.Sc./B.Stat./B.S./B.Math./Int. M.Sc and M.S. in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Physiology, Bioinformatics, Neurosciences, Marine Biology, Human Biology, Geology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Geophysics, Applied Physics, Materials Science or Environmental Science.
Fellowships Offered Through KVPY 2020 Exam
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship program offered by IISC Banglore to encourage the students interested in Scientific Research. Students studying XI standard, XII Standard and 1st year of any UG program in basic sciences can apply for the KVPY Fellowship Programme. The Applicants are selected based on performance in the KVPY Aptitude test and Interview.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana offers Fellowship and Contingency grant from 1st year of graduation up to the pre-Ph.D. level or 5 years for the qualified candidates. Annual Contingency Grant of Rs. 20,000/- and a Monthly Stipend of Rs. 5,000/- are granted during 1st to 3rd year. After that, it increases to Annual Contingency Grant of Rs. 28,000/- and the Monthly Stipend of Rs. 7,000/- for next 2 years. To avail these benifits, the applicants need to qualify the KVPY Exam.
