- IIT JAM Exam is conducted online (computer-based Test).
- The Exam will be conducted in two sessions, i.e. 9 AM to 12 Noon & 2 PM to 5 PM.
- The questions in IIT Joint Admission Test will be from 7 Subjects they are Biological Sciences (BL), Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).
- The medium of Exam is English only
- IIT JAM Exam 2020 consists of 3 sections. IIT JAM 2020 exam is a computer-based Test. duration of IIT Joint Admission Test for M.SC Entrance exam is 3 Hours
- Each paper will consist of 60 questions conducted for 100 Marks.
- In Section A, For Each incorrect response of 1 mark, 1/3 marks deducted and for 2 marks, 2/3 marks deducted.
- No negative marks for Section B and Section C MSQ and NAT Questions.
- Negative marking is present for Numerical Type Questions.
- In section A, 10 questions carry 1 mark each and 20 Questions carry 2 marks each.
