About HP Board of School Education
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is shortly called as HPBOSE. It was authorised in 1969, and its headquarters are located in Dharamshala. Kultar Chand Rana from Kangra was the first chairman of Himachal Pradesh Board. HPBOSE has almost more than 8000 schools under its affiliation. Every year almost 500,000 candidates attend the Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations. HPBOSE arranges 1650 examination centres to conduct the exams.
Himachal Pradesh Board administers the state level examinations for the 10th and 12th standard candidates in the month of March every year. The HPBOSE (Himachal Pradesh Board of School) was begun with a staff of 34 people who have consequently expanded to 438 members.
